Egypt Seeks Chevron's Help to Boost Gas Supplies

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Chevron executives in New York to discuss expanding gas exploration and supply deals. The meeting took place on the sidelines of UNGA 81, where Egypt's Ambassador to the United States Mohamed Hamdy El-Molla was also present. Madbouly emphasized that facilitating investment procedures would speed up drilling activities and secure additional natural gas supplies for the domestic market.

Chevron executives reaffirmed the strategic importance of their operations in Egypt and the broader Eastern Mediterranean region. Both sides reviewed Chevron's future operational roadmap, considering regional security developments, energy supply chains, and global market price fluctuations.
