Natural gas futures struggled to stay above $3.000/MMBtu after the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported an in-line storage build.

The EIA reported that operators injected 53 Bcf of natural gas into storage in the week ended September 18, which fell short of historical norms but was in line with expectations.

The Midwest led all regions with a significant injection, while storage levels remain 4.2% below the five-year average for this time of year.
