Norwegian energy company Equinor has signed a long-term gas supply agreement with German utility Uniper. The deal will provide over 30 TWh/year (2.8 bcm/year) of natural gas to Germany from January 2027 to December 2041.

The contracted volume is nearly 3% of Germany's annual gas imports, making it Equinor's largest natural gas market in the country since 1977.

According to the agreement, pricing will reflect market terms, and other details remain confidential. The companies have also signed a non-binding letter of intent to explore the sale of sustainability-related attributes linked to the gas supplied under the contract.
