Euronext Wheat Rises Amid Hopes of Fresh Export Demand
Euronext wheat prices rose for a second consecutive session on Friday, buoyed by hopes of fresh export demand.
The benchmark December milling wheat contract gained 0.7% to €240.75 per metric ton by 1458 GMT.
The euro's drop this week against the dollar has bolstered expectations that Western European wheat could be in contention for a Saudi import tender seeking 535,000 tons of wheat that closed on Friday.
Rising shipping costs may, however, hamper the chances of origins like French wheat, traders said.
