Evolution Mining Highlights Copper Growth Strategy
Evolution Mining outlined its strategy at the Mining Forum Americas 2026, focusing on margin and cash flow while highlighting copper growth. The company has reshaped its portfolio over the past decade, with copper now accounting for 22% of revenue.
Copper demand is rising globally, and Evolution sees further growth from Ernest Henry and Northparkes. Gearing fell from 33% in FY2023 to a net cash position by the end of FY2026, while the dividend payout ratio was lifted from 50% to 60% of group cash flow.
Cowal remains Evolution's largest production asset and a major source of cash, with an open pit continuation project extending mining by 10 years. Ernest Henry is a key copper growth platform, with low copper C1 costs between AUD 0.65 and AUD 1.23 per pound.
