Florida's drivers are feeling the pinch at the pump as gas prices rise across the state. According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of midgrade gasoline in Florida is now $4.68, up from $4.33 a month ago and $3.60 a year ago.

Jacksonville prices remain slightly below the statewide average, but drivers are still facing increasingly expensive fill-ups. Mark Jenkins of AAA said oil prices have risen steadily in recent weeks, putting upward pressure on fuel prices.

Diesel prices are also climbing, with the average price for a gallon of diesel in North Florida now at $6.33, up from $3.64 at this time last year. The increase comes as crude oil prices have topped $104 a barrel, their highest level since May.
