Fresnillo Taps New Finance Chief Amid Gold and Silver Price Volatility
Fresnillo, a Mexico-focused precious metals miner listed on the London Stock Exchange main market, has lined up a successor to its long-serving finance chief. The company's CFO will retire after a lengthy career across the wider group and be replaced by a finance executive with a background in retail and mining finance.
The handover is staged, with the successor formally assuming the full role at the start of November and joining the executive committee then. The outgoing finance chief will stay on as a senior adviser into the new year, providing a smooth runway through the interim reporting cycle.
Management used an Americas-focused mining forum this week to stress cost discipline and margin gains, highlighting that gross profit and margins had roughly doubled in the first half of the year.
