Friday Markets See Fluctuations in Commodity Prices
Closing markets on Friday, October 2 saw some fluctuations in commodity prices. Corn futures took a hit, with December contracts down by 5 cents at $4.97 and March contracts down by 5 cents as well at $5.11.
Soybean futures also declined, with November contracts down by 6 cents at $12.77 and January contracts down by 7 cents at $12.93.
In contrast, wheat futures saw a slight increase, with December contracts up by a quarter at $6.83 while March contracts were down by a quarter at $6.96.
Live cattle futures took a significant hit, with October contracts down by 35 cents at $218.95 and December contracts down by 177 cents at $221.40. Feeder cattle futures also declined, with October contracts down by 460 cents at $334.27 and November contracts down by 527 cents at $331.07.
