FTSE 100 Set to Rise as Oil Prices Rebound

The FTSE 100 index is expected to rise on Monday, driven by a rebound in oil prices following US President Donald Trump's rejection of an Iranian proposal to end the conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Brent crude rose over 1% to around $106 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate traded above $93. This increase is expected to support energy producers like BP and Shell.

However, higher oil prices also reinforce inflation concerns and may lead to elevated global interest rates.
