GDP Data, Crude Oil Prices to Drive Markets Next Week
The market value of India's top seven companies declined by Rs 1.13 trillion over the past week, mainly due to falls in Bharti Airtel and Reliance Industries.
According to data from depositories, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have invested Rs 30,918 crore in Indian equities this month.
The upcoming week will be influenced by several key factors, including the release of India's first-quarter GDP data on Monday and crude oil prices, which have been impacted by geopolitical tensions.
Dr. V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Investments Limited, stated that FPIs have bought equity for Rs 30,918 crores in August, driven by factors such as the reversal of the chip trade and improving earnings growth in India.
