Global Markets Weaken as Bond Yields Rise and Political Uncertainty Persists
Global markets are showing weakness today, driven by rising bond yields and political uncertainty in Europe. Wall Street futures are down slightly, while major European indexes are mixed, with some gaining ground. Asian markets, however, ended their trading day on a positive note.
The likelihood of a Fed rate hike in October has dropped significantly, falling to 19.4% from 70.9% a week earlier, according to the CME FedWatch tool. Despite this, the Dollar Index has strengthened by more than a quarter percent, and bond yields have mostly hardened.
Commodities are showing mixed movements, with Brent oil prices rising slightly while WTI crude oil prices have declined. Gold is trading strongly in positive territory, and cryptocurrencies have mostly gained.

In Asia, Japan's Nikkei 225 is up 2.40%, Australia's S&P ASX 200 is up 0.05%, China's Shanghai Composite is up 0.31%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng is up 0.28%, and South Korea's KOSPI is up 0.46%.
