Global Petrol Prices Soar After US-Israel War on Iran
Since the US and Israel launched their war on Iran six months ago, petrol prices have risen in at least 145 countries.
The data comes from GlobalPetrolPrices, which tracks fuel prices in 170 countries and territories. Petrol prices in Myanmar rose by 56 percent since February 23, making it the largest increase among all countries.
Other countries with significant price hikes include Bhutan (55%), Cuba (51%), the UAE (50%), and Nigeria (48%).
Only 25 countries have seen no change or a single-digit decrease in petrol prices, mostly oil producers with heavily subsidised fuel.
