Global Stock Markets Rally as Oil Prices and Bond Yields Recede
Global stock markets experienced a surge on Monday as oil prices and bond yields receded from their recent highs.
The S&P 500 rose by 1.5%, nearing its all-time high set last month, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 348 points, or 0.7%, to 2:20 p.m. Eastern time.
The decline in oil prices was a key factor contributing to the market's rise, with Brent crude falling 3.4% to $100.29 per barrel.
Michael Wilson of Morgan Stanley warned that another increase in oil prices could hinder the US stock market from reaching its target by year-end.
