Gold and Silver Prices Climb in India Amid Middle East Tensions
Gold and silver prices in India rose on Wednesday, August 26, as investors sought safe-haven assets amid uncertainty in the Middle East. The weaker US dollar and softer crude oil prices also contributed to the increase.
The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) reported a 0.13% rise in October gold futures to Rs 1,63,041 per 10 grams. September silver futures gained 0.48% to Rs 2,45,299 per kg.
Despite the decline in crude oil prices, concerns over geopolitical tensions persist. Investors are increasing their exposure to gold and silver as a hedge against market volatility and broader economic risks.
