On October 5, international spot gold prices climbed 0.47% to nearly $4,160 per ounce during early trading. Meanwhile, US gold futures surged 0.65%, reaching approximately $4,190 per ounce. In domestic markets, MCX gold futures for December 4 delivery maintained their price at Rs 1,50,250 per 10 grams, reflecting steady investor interest.

Silver also saw gains, with MCX silver futures rising 0.82% to Rs 225,545 per kilogram. The previous session on October 2 had closed with gold at Rs 1,47,770 per 10 grams and silver at Rs 2,21,443 per kilogram. These movements suggest buying activity at lower price levels.

Market attention is now turning to key US economic indicators, including the Core PCE Price Index, unemployment data, and Nonfarm Payrolls. These reports could shape expectations around the Federal Reserve’s future monetary policy decisions, which may influence precious metal prices.
