Gold and Silver Prices Steady Ahead of US Economic Data

On October 6, spot gold held steady at just over $4,128 per ounce in early trading, while US gold futures remained flat near $4,157 per ounce. The domestic market saw gold close at Rs 1,47,466 per 10 grams on Monday, a decline of Rs 304 from the previous session. Silver prices rose slightly over 1%, reaching Rs 2,23,815 per kilogram.

MCX gold futures for December 4 delivery maintained their price at Rs 1,49,311 per 10 grams, with silver futures at Rs 2,26,240 per kilogram. Market participants are now focused on upcoming US economic data, including the Core PCE Price Index, unemployment figures, and Nonfarm Payrolls, which may impact the Federal Reserve's monetary policy decisions.

The movement of gold prices for 24K, 22K, and 18K purity was also tracked, reflecting the latest trends in the precious metals market.
