New Delhi's gold futures market saw prices rise by Rs 150 to Rs 1,50,860 per 10 grams in recent trades, driven by firm spot demand and fresh positions taken by speculators. The October delivery contract for gold traded higher by 0.1% in a business turnover of 1,554 lots.

According to analysts, the rise in prices was due to market participants creating new positions on strong spot demand. This is reflected in the 0.01% increase in gold futures to $4,275.38 per ounce in New York.
