Gold Poised for First Monthly Gain in Five Months Amid Weekly Rally

Gold prices are poised for their first monthly gain in five months, despite trading slightly lower on Friday. According to recent reports, spot gold dipped by 0.2 percent to $4,096.29 per ounce at 01:07 GMT.

This slight decrease, however, is not expected to impact the overall trend as gold remains headed for a weekly rise of 1.1 percent.

Meanwhile, US gold futures for August delivery saw a marginal gain of 0.1 percent to $4,094.10 per ounce.

The World Gold Council's quarterly report also revealed that Kazakhstan has become one of the world's top five gold buyers in Q2 2026.
