Gold Price Hinges on Inflation Data as Key Levels Loom
The gold price is poised to make a crucial move as inflation data comes out today. A sustained break above $4,416.82 would indicate strong buying interest and potentially trigger a surge towards $4,481.78 and the 200-day moving average at $4,499.29.
This level represents 20% down from gold's all-time high, which some traders consider the starting point of the bear market. The 200-day MA is also a significant target, with some analysts describing the move as impressive given that it has crossed the 50-day MA in just five days.
On the other hand, if gold fails to hold its rebound and breaks through Tuesday's low at $4,356.70, it could accelerate downwards with no major support until below $4,200.
