Gold prices declined across key jewellery retailers such as Tanishq, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Kalyan Jewellers and Joyalukkas on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

However, India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd's (IBJA) indicative rates of gold and silver jewellery prices today showed an increase compared to Wednesday evening's PM rates.

According to Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., President of IBJA, 'Gold and silver slid further as traders waited on the US jobs report, with monthly losses of 8.5% and 13.5%.'

The dollar hit a three-month high on rising Treasury yields, while fresh uncertainty over the Iran ceasefire talks kept inflation worries very much alive.

IBJA's indicative retail selling rates for gold and silver jewellery showed that fine gold (999) was priced at ₹14,869 per gram, up from ₹14,789 per gram yesterday.
