Gold Prices Decrease Across India Amid Lower Oil Prices

Gold prices declined across major jewellery brands in India on September 22, 2026. According to data from Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Kalyan Jewellers, and Joyalukkas, the prices of 24k, 22k, 20k, 18k, and 14k gold decreased.

The 22k gold rate at Tanishq increased slightly in contrast. The current price of 22K gold jewellery at Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Kalyan Jewellers, and Joyalukkas is Rs 14,185 per gram each across their respective Delhi showrooms.

Vedika Narvekar, research analyst, commodities & currencies, Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers, attributed the steady gold prices to lower oil prices. She stated that 'gold is steady today, trading near $4,362 an ounce, bouncing back after its worst day in a week yesterday.

The indicative jewellery rates of 24k, 22k, 20k, 18k, and 14k gold and 999-purity silver also saw a fall at the India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd (IBJA). The current price of fine gold is Rs 15,213 per gram, while the price of 22k gold is Rs 14,848 per gram.
