Gold Prices Dip Across Major Indian Jewellers on October 6 2026
Gold and silver prices experienced a slight decline on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, across major Indian jewellers. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the 24k fine gold rate dropped compared to Monday evening's figures. Leading jewellers like Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Joyalukkas, Kalyan Jewellers, and Tanishq also reported lower 22k gold prices.
Vedika Narvekar, a research analyst at Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers, noted that gold prices are hovering around $4,140 an ounce. She attributed this stability to a stronger dollar and rising yields, balanced against the Federal Reserve's rate path. The dollar's strength was bolstered by a bond selloff in France, raising concerns about potential contagion in Europe. Meanwhile, US Treasury yields reached multi-decade highs, with a recent services inflation report indicating growing cost pressures.
In Delhi, Tanishq's 22k gold jewellery price fell to Rs 13,705 per gram from Rs 13,720 per gram the previous day. Similarly, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Kalyan Jewellers, and Joyalukkas each listed 22k gold at Rs 13,660 per gram, down from Rs 13,675 per gram. This trend was consistent across other major cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Trivandrum, and Bengaluru, with identical price adjustments.
IBJA's indicative rates for October 6, 2026, showed fine gold (999) at ₹ 14,728 per gram, down from ₹ 14,820 per gram the previous day. Other karats also saw declines, with 22k gold at ₹ 14,374 per gram, 20k at ₹ 13,108 per gram, 18k at ₹ 11,930 per gram, and 14k at ₹ 9,499 per gram. Silver (999) was priced at ₹ 2,20,981 per kg, a drop from ₹ 2,24,157 per kg.
