Gold Prices Hold Steady Amid Fed Interest Rate Hike Expectations
Gold prices remained steady in early Asian trading on Thursday as investors weighed the likelihood of another interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve. Spot gold held its ground at $4,285.31 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery also stayed put at $4,321.40.
The stability in gold prices came despite expectations that the Fed might raise interest rates again this year. Investors are closely watching the Fed's moves as they impact the global economy and currency markets.
Other precious metals saw some movement on Thursday, with spot silver falling 0.6% to $64.08 per ounce. Platinum remained stable at $1,749.47, while palladium rose 0.2% to $1,261.95.
