Gold prices continued to hover around $4,294 per ounce in early trading on September 25, with US gold futures gaining 0.62% to reach $4,324.80 per ounce.

The MCX gold futures for the October 5 delivery closed the Thursday session with a 0.09% gain to Rs 1,50,841 per 10 grams, while silver inched up 0.23% to Rs 2,34,030 per kilogram from its previous close.

Ashish Rajodiya, Head of Commodities at PL Capital, warned that gold's next test is whether incoming US economic data remains stronger than expected, with a strong print likely opening the door to a slide toward $4,200 and any sign of cooling in the labour market or escalation in the Gulf bringing buyers back in.
