Gold prices in India have surged to new heights, crossing the ₹1.52 lakh mark per 10 grams of 24-carat gold. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold has increased by ₹1,849 to ₹1,52,490 per 10 grams.

Silver prices have also risen significantly, touching ₹2.34 lakh per kilogram, up from ₹2,907. This surge in prices comes after a correction from lifetime highs earlier this year.

Commodity expert Ajay Kedia predicts that gold could retest the ₹1.60 lakh mark by the end of the year, while silver may hit ₹2.80 lakh per kilogram.

The IBJA has reported that in the first ten days of August alone, gold prices have skyrocketed by ₹9,630, while silver has surged by ₹15,985.
