Gold Prices in Vietnam Show Mixed Trends on October 5 2026
On the afternoon of October 5, 2026, gold prices in Vietnam showed mixed movements, with some brands adjusting their rates while others remained stable. The common selling price for gold bars hovered around 143.5 million VND per ounce. Notably, Mi Hong and Bao Tin Minh Chau (BTMC) continued to decrease their prices, reflecting a slight downward trend in the market.
SJC gold bars, a widely traded standard, saw no new adjustments, maintaining a buying price of 140.5 million VND per ounce and a selling price of 143.5 million VND per ounce. The spread between buying and selling prices remained at 3 million VND per tael. Similarly, PNJ Hanoi and DOJI Group kept their prices unchanged, with buying and selling rates fixed at 140.5 million VND and 143.5 million VND per ounce, respectively.
In contrast, BTMC lowered its buying price by 200,000 VND per ounce, bringing it down to 139.3 million VND, while the selling price stayed at 143.5 million VND. This adjustment widened the buy-sell spread to 4.2 million VND per ounce. Meanwhile, Mi Hong recorded a decline in both buying and selling prices by 500,000 VND per ounce, resulting in current trading levels of 141.5 million VND for buying and 143.0 million VND for selling.
Other brands like Phu Quy and Ngoc Tham also maintained their prices, with minor variations in the buy-sell spreads. Overall, the gold market exhibited a stable trend with selective downward adjustments from specific brands, indicating a cautious approach amidst prevailing economic conditions.
