The decline in gold prices was widespread, with most markets seeing a drop of around Rs 1,170 per 10 grams. In Delhi, for example, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,53,740 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,40,940 per 10 grams.

The prices of silver remained unchanged across all markets. The precious metal continued to trade at Rs 2,54,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
