Gold Prices Plummet in India as Silver Rates Rise

On September 23, gold prices dipped across major Indian cities, while silver rates rose. The MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange) gold futures were trading at ₹1,53,420 per 10 grams, down by 0.13%. In contrast, the MCX silver futures increased by 0.31% to ₹2,40,720 per kg.

The 24K gold traded at ₹1.52 lakh per 10 grams and silver at ₹2.40 lakh per kg. Chennai recorded the highest gold rates, while Delhi had the lowest. The MCX prices are a key indicator of market trends in India's commodities sector.
