Gold Prices Plummet in Pakistan Amid Global Rate Decline

Gold prices in Pakistan dropped significantly on Tuesday, following a decline in international bullion rates. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that 24-karat gold fell to Rs449,336 per tola, while the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs3,429 to Rs385,233.

The drop in gold prices was a result of a $40 decrease in international markets, where gold settled at $4,268 per ounce. Local prices are typically benchmarked to global rates with a premium of $20 per ounce. Silver rates remained unchanged at Rs6,802, while the 10-gram rate also stood steady at Rs5,831.
