Gold Prices Rebound in Bangladesh After Three Consecutive Cuts
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has raised the price of gold in the local market, reversing three consecutive rounds of cuts. The new price of 22-carat gold, inclusive of VAT, is now Tk 232,930 per bhori.
This adjustment was made after a rise in the price of pure gold (tejabi gold) in the local market. According to Bajus, the new prices are effective from Saturday morning at 10 am.
The association said that under the new pricing, per bhori of 21-carat gold will cost Tk 222,491, 18-carat gold Tk 191,056, and traditional (Sanatan) gold Tk 156,064, all inclusive of VAT.
