Gold and silver prices have seen some recovery over the past week, sparking optimism among investors. According to data from the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), gold increased by 1,297 rupees per 10 grams from Rs 1,40,792 on July 17 to Rs 1,44,089 on July 23. Silver also rose by 6,172 rupees per kilogram during this period, climbing from Rs 2,15,936 on July 17 to Rs 2,22,108 on July 23.

Vedika Narvekar, a research analyst at Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers, attributes the recovery to US President Donald Trump's proposed tariff measures and continued central bank buying. However, she notes that this increase appears driven more by bargain hunting after the recent correction rather than a fundamental shift.

For long-term investors, Narvekar advises against panic selling after such a price correction. For new precious metal investors, she cautions against chasing the current rebound, particularly given ongoing geopolitical tensions and rising crude oil prices.
