Gold Prices Remain Stable in Bengaluru and Chennai on August 16

Gold prices in Bengaluru and Chennai remained stable on August 16, 2026. The current rates show that 10 grams of 22-carat gold is priced at Rs. 1,42,200 in both cities, while the rate for 10 grams of 24-carat gold stands at Rs. 1,55,130.

The silver prices also remained unchanged, with Bengaluru and Chennai recording rates of Rs. 2,50,000 and Rs. 2,55,000 per kilogram respectively.

The fluctuations in the international market have not affected the local gold prices significantly. In recent weeks, the gold rates experienced a fall during the wedding season, fluctuating around Rs. 1,40,000 for 10 grams of 24-carat gold and approximately Rs. 1,50,000 for 10 grams of 22-carat gold.
