Gold Prices See Mixed Movement Across Top Jewelers in India on September 23
On September 23, 2026, gold prices saw an increase at Tanishq, while they declined at Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Joyalukkas, and Kalyan Jewellers. According to India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) indicative rates, gold prices also rose marginally on that day.
Vedika Narvekar of Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers said the Indian gold market has been cautious, with domestic prices trading below import parity due to discounts widening sharply from $34/oz in July to $78/oz by mid-September. The gold ETFs added 1.6 tonnes in August, a month-on-month increase of 67%, while imports fell 45% m/m.
The latest gold rates at Tanishq for 22k gold jewellery are Rs 14,180 per gram across various cities, up from Rs 14,100 per gram on September 22. Malabar Gold & Diamonds' 22k gold rate is Rs 14,135 per gram, down from Rs 14,185 per gram the previous day. Joyalukkas and Kalyan Jewellers also saw a decrease in their 22k gold rates to Rs 14,135 per gram.
The IBJA indicative retail selling rates for September 23 are Fine Gold (999) at ₹15,227/g, 22 KT at ₹14,861/g, and Silver (999) at ₹2,35,288/kg. The prices have increased from the previous day, with gold up by ₹13 to ₹132 per gram and silver up by ₹366 per kg.
