Gold Prices Slip Ahead of Warsh Speech and Payroll Revision
Spot gold prices are modestly lower in early U.S. trading on Friday, ahead of Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's Jackson Hole speech and the Labor Department's preliminary payrolls benchmark revision.
The latest positioning is built around two 10 a.m. ET catalysts: Warsh's keynote and the Labor Department's payroll estimate for March 2026. Markets are pricing a 34% probability of a September rate hike and about a 74% chance of at least one hike by December.
Kyle Rodda, senior financial market analyst at Capital.com, said price action has been 'pretty constructive recently.'
