Gold Prices Slip as Stronger Dollar and Higher Yields Weigh on Safe-Haven Demand
Gold and silver prices declined on Tuesday, July 28, as a stronger U.S. dollar and elevated Treasury yields weighed on safe-haven demand.
The spot gold price traded near $4,023.35 per ounce, down 1.3% on the day, while spot silver was around $56.859, falling 2.60% intraday.
Gold fluctuated between $4,016.20 and $4,082.90 in early trading, holding above the $4,000 support level but failing to break through the short-term technical upside breakout range of $4,150-$4,200.
