Gold Prices Soar Amid US-Iran Tensions and Crude Oil Price Hike
Gold prices rose by 1.31 per cent on a weekly basis due to escalating tensions between the US and Iran, as well as an increase in crude oil prices, causing investors to flock to safe-haven assets.
The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold reached Rs 1,43,781 on Friday from Rs 1,41,915 at market opening on Monday, according to data published by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association.
On Friday, MCX gold August futures increased by 0.17 per cent while MCX silver September futures advanced 1.33 per cent.
