Gold Prices Soar in India Amid Strong Spot Demand

Gold futures rose in India due to strong spot demand, causing prices to increase by Rs 803 to Rs 1.51 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade. The yellow metal contract for the October delivery traded higher by 0.53 percent in 775 lots.

Fresh positions created by market participants led to a rise in the precious metal's prices, according to analysts. This increase was also seen globally as gold futures rose 0.70 percent to $4,322.14 per ounce in New York.
