Gold Prices Soar in Iraq's Baghdad and Erbil Markets

Gold prices surged in Baghdad and Erbil markets on Wednesday, reaching highs above 955,000 IQD per mithqal. According to a survey by Shafaq News, gold prices on Al-Nahr Street in Baghdad were selling at 960,000 IQD per mithqal for 21-carat gold, including Gulf, Turkish, and European varieties.

The same gold was selling for 930,000 IQD as Iraqi gold. In jewelry stores, the selling price of 21-carat Gulf gold ranged from 960,000 to 970,000 IQD per mithqal, while Iraqi gold sold between 930,000 and 940,000 IQD.

In Erbil, gold prices were significantly higher, with 22-carat gold selling at 1,002,000 IQD per mithqal. The survey found that the buying price of 21-carat gold in Baghdad was 956,000 IQD, while it sold for 945,000 IQD on Tuesday.
