Gold Prices Soar on August 8: City-Wise Rates Show Modest Gains
Gold prices have increased on August 8, with all three major purity categories recording gains compared to the previous day. According to data from various cities, 24K gold rose by ₹16 per gram to ₹14,990, while 22K gold increased by ₹15 to ₹13,741. Meanwhile, 18K gold gained ₹12, taking its price to ₹11,243 per gram.
The city-wise rates show a similar trend, with Chennai recording the highest prices for all three purity categories. The rates are as follows: Chennai - ₹14,999 (24K), ₹13,749 (22K), and ₹11,564 (18K). Mumbai followed closely behind with ₹14,990 (24K) and ₹13,741 (22K).
Experts advise buyers to keep an eye on daily price changes before making major purchases. Gold rates can fluctuate rapidly, and even small movements in the per-gram price can make a significant difference when buying larger quantities.
