Gold Prices Steady, Silver Declines on Raksha Bandhan Day

The gold and silver prices remained steady on Raksha Bandhan day in India. Gold prices were almost unchanged from the previous day, while silver saw a slight decline. The price of 24-karat gold was Rs 16,297 per gram, with 22-karat gold available at Rs 14,939 per gram.

On a 10-gram basis, 24K gold was priced at Rs 1,62,970, while 22K gold stood at Rs 1,49,390. The prices varied across cities, with Delhi and Lucknow recording slightly higher rates for both 24K and 22K gold.

Silver also recorded a small decline, priced at Rs 2,59,900 per kg in most major cities, down Rs 100 from the previous day. Chennai and Hyderabad were exceptions among the major cities listed, with silver selling at Rs 2,64,900 per kg.
