The gold price in India has increased due to ongoing tensions in West Asia. The current rate of 24 carat gold stands at Rs 15,420 per gram, marking a rise of Rs 87 from September 22.

The prices for 22 and 18 carat gold also saw an increase, with 22 carat gold trading at Rs 14,135 per gram and 18 carat gold at Rs 11,565 per gram. These rates are based on data from Good Returns and reflect a rise of Rs 80 and Rs 65 respectively over the previous day's prices.

City-wise rates also show similar trends, with Delhi and Kolkata experiencing slightly higher prices for 24 carat gold at Rs 15,435 and Rs 15,475 per gram respectively. The ongoing conflict in West Asia has led to a surge in demand for safe-haven assets like gold, contributing to the recent price increase.
