Gold Prices Tumble in India Amid Weaker Spot Demand
Gold prices fell in India on Tuesday due to weaker spot demand, according to the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). The price of gold contracts for October delivery dropped by Rs 208, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 1,54,252 per 10 grams. This decline was largely attributed to subdued demand in the spot market.
The international gold futures also edged lower, falling 0.12 per cent to $4,432.26 per ounce in New York. The movement in domestic gold futures came amid a marginal decline in international prices and softer spot-market demand.
