Gold and silver prices have been volatile in recent days due to geopolitical tensions and changing expectations around interest rates. In the global market, gold futures traded near $4,380 per ounce, while spot gold was around $4,350. Silver continued to attract attention, with prices remaining around $66 per ounce.

Domestically, Indian bullion prices also remained volatile on September 22. MCX gold traded around Rs 1.54 lakh per 10 grams during the session, while silver moved around Rs 2.40 lakh per kilogram. Domestic prices are being influenced by global bullion trends as well as currency movements.

Puneet Singhania, Director at Master Capital Services, noted that 'gold is near record highs and silver is going through increasingly volatile sessions.' He advised investors to stagger their buying systematically to average out the volatility, and to keep precious metals to a sensible slice of their portfolio, with 10-15% being an optimal range.
