Gold Surges to Three-Month High Ahead of Key Economic Data
Gold prices have risen to their highest level in over three months as investors await key economic data and a speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh. According to Reuters, spot gold has reached $4,636.34 per ounce at 00:15 GMT on Monday, marking its highest point since May 15.
US gold futures have also seen an increase of 0.3 percent to $4,694.80. Other precious metals are following suit, with spot silver rising by 0.8 percent to $69.51 per ounce and platinum increasing by 0.4 percent to $1,885.38.
The market is looking ahead to upcoming releases of US inflation data, which could provide further insight into the economic climate. The Federal Reserve's speech by Chairman Warsh will also be closely watched for any clues on monetary policy decisions.
