Gold Surges to Three-Month High Amid Dollar Weakness and Rising Debt Concerns
Gold prices have surged to their highest level in over three months on Friday, capping off a week where prices rose by more than 5% across international and Indian markets.
The Comex gold price rose by 1.07% to $4,620.10 an ounce, marking its strongest level since May 14 when the metal was trading near $4,659.
In India, October MCX gold futures were up 0.85% at ₹1,60,784 per 10 grams, extending a sharp rise seen over the previous few sessions.
The sudden breakout has brought the ₹1.62 lakh mark into view on MCX, while international prices have already moved past $4,600 an ounce.
