Grain and Livestock Markets Surge as New Week Begins
The grain and livestock markets are experiencing a strong start to the new week. As of September 21, 2026, December corn has increased by 7.5 cents per bushel, while November soybeans have gained 14.25 cents.
December Kansas City wheat is up 7.5 cents, and December Chicago wheat has risen by 7 cents. December MIAX wheat also saw a gain of 4.25 cents.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average has increased by 207.25 points, while the U.S. Dollar Index has risen by 0.070. However, November crude oil is down $3.12 per barrel, and December gold has decreased by $28.40 per ounce.
The livestock complex is also performing well, with December live cattle up $2.45 at $219.075, October feeder cattle increasing by $4.13 at $327.625, and December lean hogs rising by $0.23 at $68.775.
