Global grain markets experienced mixed results on August 18, as prices for wheat and corn fell in Chicago, while soybeans remained stable.

The September CBOT SRW wheat futures declined by 1.52% to $244.16/t, while the September corn price dropped 0.38% to $183.08/t.

In contrast, November soybean futures were virtually unchanged, gaining only 0.06% to $447.07/t.

The pressure on corn prices is attributed to deteriorating US crop conditions, with the share of corn rated good to excellent falling by 1 percentage point over the week to 60%, which is 11 points below last year's levels.
