Greek Patriots Down Ballistic Missile and Drone Over Saudi Arabia

A Greek-operated air defense system in Saudi Arabia has intercepted two targets, downing a ballistic missile and a drone.

The incident occurred on Thursday in the Yanbu region, which is home to major oil refining facilities.

Greek security sources confirmed that both targets were shot down by the Greek Patriot system, but did not provide details on the origin of the drone and the ballistic missile.

This marks the fifth time the Greek-operated system has been used in combat since the US and Israel launched their war with Iran at the end of February.
