Green Bay Copper Gold Project Aims for Near-Term Production with Strong Growth Case
Green Bay Copper Gold Project presented its case for growth at Mining Forum Americas 2026, highlighting the project's scale, grade, and infrastructure. The company expects to support near-term production while acknowledging the usual mine development risks.
The Green Bay project has an 84 million tonne resource at 2.5% copper equivalent, with 71% in the measured and indicated category. Management said the base case could generate an NPV of AUD 2.2 billion and a 41% IRR, while the larger scenario could lift annual free cash flow to AUD 820 million at spot prices.
The company emphasized its financial flexibility, saying it does not expect to need dilutionary equity to fund construction. It has AUD 373 million in cash, no debt, no streaming agreements, and minimal royalties. Exploration remains active, with nine rigs working across a 346 square kilometer land package.
