Green Bay Copper Gold Unveils Ambitious Production Plans for Newfoundland Asset
Green Bay Copper Gold, listed as FFM, presented its case for the Green Bay Project at Mining Forum Americas 2026. Management emphasized that the project combines scale, grade, and infrastructure in a way that supports near-term production while acknowledging the usual risks of mine development.
The company's Newfoundland asset has an 84 million tonne resource with 2.5% copper equivalent, 71% of which is in the measured and indicated category. The base case could generate AUD 2.2 billion NPV and a 41% IRR, while the larger scenario could lift annual free cash flow to AUD 820 million at spot prices.
Management said the project has strong financial flexibility, with AUD 373 million in cash, no debt, no streaming agreements, and minimal royalties. The company plans to fund construction without dilutionary equity raises, relying on project finance, offtake prepayments, and internal cash generation.
